On a Fixed Term or Contract Mobile Plan you will receive a set amount of calling minutes, text messages and data each month. As the name states, these plans are based on a fixed term basis which you are contractually obliged to. Usually the contract term will be 24 months and if you wish to break the contract within this period you will be liable to pay a contract break fee. On the upside, fixed term plans usually include a bonus such as a free phone(or discounted), more minutes/texts/data or a free product or service. If you already own a phone and have no interest in any of the bonus offerings an open term plan will offer you the best value.
