2degrees was launched in 2009 to compete with the other major mobile providers and are now the third largest provider with over a million NZ customers. 2degrees claim to have network coverage “reaching 97% of the places Kiwis live and work” in areas where 2degrees network coverage is not available, reception is provided by Vodafone cell towers. Both prepaid and pay monthly plans are available.
